On October 3rd, 2010 Trevor received his mission call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His friends came to hear the announcement…
and his sisters could hardly stand the suspense.
Trevor’s parents were connected via Skype so they could be a part of the big moment from Iowa.
Trevor opened his called and read:
“You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the UTAH SALT LAKE CITY Mission.”
HOORAY! Congrats Trevor! How exciting is it to be chosen to serve right in the heart of the LDS Church’s headquarters!! Surprisingly, Utah isn’t all LDS. Only 60% of the state is Mormon and only 50% of Salt Lake City is Mormon. There is still a lot of people to share the gospel with.
Wish you were there? Watch the whole thing here:
Let’s eat cake!
Here is a map showing the boundaries of the Utah Salt Lake City mission:
Trevor, so many people are so proud of you for making the decision to devote two years of your life to serving the Lord. The people of Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming need a strong spirit like you to spread the word of the restored gospel. You will do awesome! Love you Trevor!!
