I was getting a little anxious to find out where Trevor might be currently located and thought maybe his mission mom might be REALLY on the ball and have them posted on her website. However, when I went to check she had just posted the transfers from December 15th....so it looks like she is just a little slow on the draw. It did give me an idea of how transfer day in his mission goes though.....a lot different that how it works in our mission.Aww man! I really was hoping to hear where he was placed. Guess we will have to wait for another P-Day letter.
They arrive EARLY (still dark outside) in a white bus (funny) from Provo. They meet at a local church building where they give them all breakfast. (They must have brought the companions in the day before to do the transfers within the mission.) After breakfast and a informational meeting, they pair up the new companionships and send them out. We were aware that there were lots of Spanish speakers in Trevor's mission and that he might get the chance to use the Spanish that he knows...but did you know they have a Swahili branch in his mission? Yup...one brand new elder got assigned to the Swahili branch, so not only is the mission a whole new opportunity for him, but he has to learn a language that he has never heard. YIKES! I would hope that most of these people speak English, but it could get pretty interesting!
Lets hope it doesn't take another month before Sis Winn gets around to posting pictures from Trevor's "welcome to the mission field". I will let you know as soon as we hear from him.

Here is a little note from the mother:

Waiting for something in general is the pits...but waiting to hear from your missionary is the worst! Imagine how Trevor must feel "waiting" for a letter...any letter...from home. So send those letters to him on a regular basis and let him know how things are at your house. He will LOVE to hear from you!
